**Family Edible Gardening Day**
Make & Take Home Veggie Container Gardens, Themed Herb Gardens, and Seminars
Saturday, April 21
No Registration Needed!
Abma’s Greenhouses proudly announces our 4th annual Family Edible Gardening Day! Visit our greenhouses for hands-on workshops, seminars, and demonstrations for all ages. Bring the whole family for fun on the farm!
Starting at 11am, participate in ‘Make & Take Home’ vegetable and herb garden workshops. Our knowledgeable staff will help you and your family create your garden and teach you how to care for your garden once you take it home. The materials fee for your garden depends on the size of the container and the plant material used.
Visit the greenhouses and learn about cold weather vs. warm weather vegetables. You’ll also learn that our homegrown herbs can be grown not only to flavor food but also used for medicinal purposes, as natural pest repellents, and more. Our on-staff botanist, Laura, will hold free mini seminars covering subjects like Home Composting, Companion Planting, and Edible Plants in the Borders.
